The Donna Reed Show - Kitchen

The Donna Reed show was a great show!  The show was on the air from 1958-1966. 

 The Donna Reed Show was the first half-hour sitcom to focus on the mother instead of the father.    

The show's main characters were Donna Reed as Donna Stone.  Carl Betz as Dr. Alex Stone.  Paul Peterson as Jeff Stone and Shelly Fabares as Mary Stone. And later added Patty Peterson as Trisha Stone.  She was on from 1963-1966.  She is the real life sister of Paul Peterson.  

Shelly Fabares left the show in around 1963 to pursue other acting opportunities.  She returned periodically through 1966.  Shelly is also a singer and has released some vinyl's!

Between Donna and Mary I'm not sure who talked more, but both seem to have a lot of long lines!

   

The kitchen in the Donna Reed show kitchen changed.    Here is a look at the kitchen. Notice no cabinets on the back wall?

They show the washer and dryer behind Mary, well it's next to the door that goes outside.

                                            The cabinets aren't surround the refrigerator.

                          The full size stove/over later turned into a wall stove and a counter top stove.

 

Most of the pictures in the show have this view. Cabinets galore on the back wall!  Out that door goes to the dining room.  On the right of this picture is a door outside. The left side is the wall oven, refrigerator and also the stove top!

The stove top isn't often shown, so I was happy to see it in an episode and snap a picture!

This is on the left of the main kitchen photo the wall over next to the door to the dining room.  Wall full of cabinets with the refrigerator and wall oven in the middle.  Then a door out to the side of the stairs close to Alex office, and the stove top.  

The kitchen table another scene that is often in the show.  To the right is the door outside.  The back wall is where the door leads to the dining room.  To the left in the picture is the refrigerator wall oven and the door to the other side of the stairs.  Next to the door is the stove top.  

Next is the dining room and living room!
